The 6A SBSCOA Championships will be held at scenic Citrus College Stadium

Your guide to SBSCOA season field show tournaments
and the 16th Annual 6A Field Show Championship

Below you will find everything you need to know about season standings and the end-of-year SBSCOA 6A Field Championships.

Do you know how the field show season standings and championship grid placements are determined?
  • Any school can sign up for the season championships grid, and compete within their class divisions throughout the tournament season.
  • Schools that compete will have their three highest individual tournament scores of the season (from adjudicated tournaments) added together to determine their place in season standings. As better scores are earned, earlier lower scores are replaced.
  • The 6A bands are ranked all season based on sum of their three highest scores.
  • The top 12 bands in each division, in the final end-of-season standings, advance on to the championships.
    • This season we finished 2nd in the overall 6A standings.
  • The 12 championship qualifying bands are then split into brackets of different sizes to determine championship night performance order.
  • This season the championship performance order of the final group of 4 will be:
    • Last to perform: Chino
    • Second to last: Rancho Bernardo
    • Third to last: Arcadia
    • Fourth to last: Mt. Carmel

Do you know how the Field Show Championships are scored?
  • The championship itself is like any other tournament field show except there is only one division (6A).
  • All bands will enter the night with a clean slate and are judged like any other show.
  • The judges will place bands for awards and sweepstakes based only on that nights scores.
  • All judged categories are the same as in any other tournament.
